Historically I have specialized in music portraiture, creating material both for promotion and for album covers. I know what it’s like to feel uncomfortable in front of the camera, and I have a lot of experience making folks feel more open and easy, helping artists show themselves as they want to be seen.

Photography is my favorite way to get to know a place. Every time I go out with a camera, I learn something about the part of the world I’m wandering through. A photo can be a gateway to history, to botany, to creaturely ways and curious habits of mind.

I have worked as a principal photographer to bring lively small business campaigns onto screens and into shops, and I’ve assisted as a stylist and second shooter on campaigns with much larger commercial brands. No matter the scale, I make sure the client’s vision is met and matched with a little magic.

I’ve been lucky to be a part of a lot of people’s most important moments. I love shooting engagements, commemorating graduations, taking family portraits, and crafting images for important announcements. I treat these moments with the care and good cheer they deserve.
